Sustainable Usage of Waste Materials in Aerated and Foam Concrete: A Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

The utilization of waste materials in concrete is now a widely used concept that counteracts the depletion natural resources. In addition to this, it will untangle disposal nature and find an alternative approach shelter environmental Due rapid growth industrialization, management has become increasingly challenging recent years. Several could be whole or part replace cement aggregates. main disadvantage conventional its increased self-weight. paper summarizes current knowledge two types lightweight concrete, viz aerated foam can made less dense than possibility using materials. usage admixtures like Fly ash, GGBS, silica fume, quarry dust, rubber particles, rice husk plastic waste, glass powder, foundry sand examined. effective use reviewed by evaluating properties such as workability, elastic modulus, compressive strength, flexural microstructural characteristics. optimum percentage ash found 20%, 50 -75%, greater 10%, 20 – 30%, respectively. Out different PVC granules pass 5mm sieve size are prepare aggregate which exhibits density around 1500kg/m3. dust best option for acceptable replacement at 20% concrete. studies show drastic increment strength capillary absorption also 14% cement, reduced risk early-age cracking. Fine replaced powder delay setting time higher percentages. While fine substituted with yields comparable results control specimen terms their mechanical

Materials, Production, Properties and Application of Aerated Lightweight Concrete: Review

Aerated lightweight concrete have many advantages when compared with conventional concrete such as advanced strength to weight ratio, lower coefficient of thermal expansion, and good sound insulation as a result of air voids within aerated concrete. This paper is attention to classified of aerated lightweight concrete into foamed concrete and autoclaved concrete. Also, it is exhibits the raw ma...

Preparation and properties of porous aerated concrete

INTRODUCTION Porous concrete, especially Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) was first developed by a Swedish engineer between the years 1920 and 1932 [1]. He was searching for a material with the properties of wood, but without the disadvantages of wood. Near the end of World War II, AAC became widely used. Vast areas of cities and industries lay in waste and tremendous rebuilding became necessa...
